Pastor Carl A. Turner Sr. was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. under the leadership of the late, Bishop F.M. Thomas. He was reared by his parents, the late District Elder John Loyd and Evangelist Betty Loyd of Bridgeport, CT. Through God’s guidance along with his parents, he was taught to love the Lord and to keep His commandments at a young age.
Pastor Turner has been the Pastor of Highway Gospel Community Temple in West Chester, PA. since 1988 and Highway Word Of Faith Ministries in Newark, DE. since 1999. He placed a Pastor in West Chester in 2015 and has continued to Pastor the Delaware location for the past 25 years. He has been in the Kingdom Building business most of his life. He also has traveled extensively throughout the United States, India, Jamaica, London, England, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Japan and numerous trips to the continent of Africa including Kenya, Capetown and Johannesburg, South Africa and Seoul, South Korea.

Pastor Turner is married to Karen Boyer Turner. They have been married for fifty years. September 10, 2013, his wife then of forty years was a perfect match for a kidney transplant. The Lord blessed this man with a “special gift” from a “special lady” . Out of their union, they share three children of which one son has preceded them in death, eight grandchildren and five great-granddaughters of which he is proud of them all.
He currently holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Pastoral Ministries from Aenon Bible College (of the P.A.W.). He is the author of two books, “Don’t Let Me Die” and “It’s in the Pot”. He also has a large library of sermons that give hope and encouragement to a dying world.
To sum it all up, Pastor Turner is a man on the move for God.
