Lady Karen Boyer Turner has been the wife and constant supporter of her husband of  now fifty years , Bishop Carl A. Turner Sr. Together they share three children, one of whom has predeceased them in death, “Ernie”, one daughter, Karla and one son, Carl A. Turner Jr.. She is Mom-mom to eight grandchildren and five great-grand Daughters.

Lady Karen was baptized in Jesus Name and filled with the Holy Spirit at the young age of thirteen at Pentecostal Bridegroom Church located in Philadelphia , PA. under the pastorate of her uncle, the late District Elder George Mayfield Sr.

Throughout her spiritual walk, she has held and continues to hold various positions and has achieved many accomplishments including:

• Women’s Ministry Director
• Advisor to women’s ministries both on local and state levels
• Presently Dean and President of Word Of Faith Bible Institute (Wilmington, DE.)
• Presently Executive Pastor at Highway Word of Faith (Wilmington, DE.)
• Licensed and ordained evangelist through the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc.
• President of H.O.P.E., Inc. (a non-profit outreach corporation).
• Author of a book entitled, “In Spite of My Circumstances, I Still Have Joy (personal testimony)
• Bachelor’s of Science Degree, Community Health, Delaware State University, Dover DE.
• Masters of Ministry in Christian Counseling, Christian Bible College, and Seminary, Independence, Missouri.
• Living kidney donor for husband (September 10, 2013)

Lady Karen gives all praise and honor to the One who made all things possible in her life, her Lord, and Savior, Jesus Christ. And after all the things she’s been through, she still has JOY.
